Scouts, leaders, visitors, and staff are able to shorten their hike to and from Camps Alpha and Bravo easily thanks to the the Consol Energy Bridge.

While serving on staff at the 2017 National Jamboree, many people will be serving as drivers throughout the event. By taking the Driver Training and Certification training, a staff member will then be properly certified to operate passenger vehicles, UTV’s or even ATV’s at the National Jamboree. This certification should be completed without delay.

By using the link given above, you will be given a list of different links to online certification courses depending on the vehicle(s) you plan on operating at the National Jamboree. A link that is also featured is one to the 2017 National Jamboree Utility Vehicle Rules. These rules include safety precautions for all drivers, such as whether the driver is required to use a helmet or not when operating a vehicle at the Summit. These certifications are a must for any and all drivers, and must be completed prior to your arrival to the National Jamboree. After arriving at the Jamboree it will not be possible for you to complete the required certification course at the Motor Pool site. Without obtaining the proper certification, it will not be possible for drivers to be issued a vehicle by the Motor Pool.

Once your certification is complete, email a copy of this certificate to 2017JamboDriverCert@gmail.com. With this email, please include: your full legal name, BSA ID number, Council, National Jamboree Unit Number, primary registered position and team lead’s email. While creating this email, make sure to copy your team lead onto the email before sending. We all look forward to seeing you at the 2017 National jamboree and fuel Scouting’s adventure together!
