Tent City, In Effect!

What Is Patrol Z?The rain did nothing to dampen the enthusiasm that members of the Boy Scouts of America brought to the Summit as they arrived to begin the Summit Shakedown, a trial run for the first jamboree to be held at the new property.

As soon as contingents checked in and set up, Scouts were able to immediately head out to the epic program areas such as a world class mountain biking trail, canopy touring, and a zip line that were all open for Scouts and Scouters alike.

As the daylight faded and scouts returned from receiving a large dose of adrenaline from the activities, they got to cook a delicious barbecue chicken dinner. The dinner was followed by time for planning the following day’s activities and crew bonding through pickup games of soccer and Frisbee.

As the night progressed, people made their way into their tents to get plenty of time to sleep in preparation of the events to come at the Summit Shakedown.
