And while hanging out on the crag may sound like all the adventure you’ll ever need, other members of these Venturing Crews were soaring through the trees with the greatest of ease at one of the amazing Zip Line Canopy Tours in the gorge area.

What’s the easiest way to fly high in the sky in West Virginia?

Yep, it’s a zip line canopy tour.

These guided tours provide participants with breathtaking views of the surrounding New River Gorge as well as amazing ecological insights on the forest floor below, all from a bird’s eye view. With zip lines up to 600 feet long and suspended bridges thrown in for fun, this just may be the perfect way to experience a day in the West Virginia wilds.

Check out the video above!

You can fly through the trees at the 2013 National Scout Jamboree at the activity area for zip lines, canopy tours and challenge courses. Have you signed up yet!?
