What’s The Deal With Mountainboarding?

Details are still coming in for the mountainboarding elective at the 2013 National Scout Jamboree, but one thing’s for sure: this wildly popular all-terrain action sport will be delivering thrills this year.

Never heard of mountainboarding? It was voted the No. 1 activity at the 2010 jamboree. Similar to snowboarding, this elective will make you feel like a regular Shaun White, except on grass and dirt.

At the jamboree, mountainboard staff will guide you through every step of the process. Riders from beginners to veterans can improve their skills on the 60,000-square-foot dedicated mountainboard course on Mayhem Mountain.

Although you can participate in electives such as mountainboarding as they’re available, don’t forget to head over to bsajamboree.org by May 14 to sign up for your curriculum preferences.
