It’s less than a year until the gates of the Summit Bechtel Reserve fly wide open and we begin the 2013 National Jamboree.
You’re already registered, right?
Good. Because if you are, a day in the life of a jamboree participant might look something like this photo gallery.
Need details? Here’s a rundown of how your day might go: You and your buddy will get out of the tent early. (Probably because you’re on cook duty — oh, and kitchen equipment is provided by the jamboree!)
You decide to kick off the day with mountain biking. This is one of the many options you can select as a “curriculum activity” — a half-day of focused fun at the specialized activity area for that activity.
After lunch, you catch a zip line before heading back to Action Point, the heart of the jamboree.
At Action Point, you spend your free time trying out a variety of activities. You might try out the challenge course, or maybe skateboarding.
At the end of the day, it’s back to camp to rest up for tomorrow; it’ll be another jam-packed day of jamboree activities!
Sound good to you?
