Zippin’ Away

Up In The Treetops

Did you know that when you’re 40 feet above the ground, going 40 miles an hour, you get a pretty insane adrenaline rush? It’s really exciting riding on a zip line.

So, after a full day of adventure at the Summit Shakedown, my impression of zip lines is that they’re life changing, and I was stoked to ride one for the first time.

As soon as I reached the end, I wished that it would last longer.

Honestly, I was a little bit freaked out when we had to jump. Fortunately, zips are one of the safest types of adventure activities here at the Summit.

Anyone can do this, it just takes a little bit of faith to step off that edge.

My advice with zip lines is very simple:

  • Relax and enjoy the view.
  • When it’s time to take off, just go for it.

When you’re at the 2013 National Scout Jamboree next year, you won’t want to miss the chance to see The Zips.
