Summit Bechtel Reserve Staff lend a hand in Rainelle, WV

On Saturday July 2nd as many others enjoyed their long weekend or prepared for a celebration, the people of Rainelle, WV attempted to recover whatever they could after the recent flooding.  In Rainelle, it is estimated, that 90 percent of all homes and businesses have sustained considerable damage.  The response from the local community has been swift and being a member of the local community, Summit Bechtel Reserve stepped up to lend a hand.

Approximately 24 member of the SBR staff comprised of 12 Shooting Sports staff members, and members from other departments, arrived early in the morning of the 2nd.  The Shooting Sports staff divided into 2 groups of 6 and spent their day aiding in demolition work that was needed in 2 houses so that new drywall can go up and the rebuilding process can begin.  The other staff members were tasked out in many different areas ranging from trash cleanup to supply distribution.

It is to be noted that a full recovery will take years but for now all we can do as a community is go day by day.
