StemQuest Highlights

Lots of cool things are happening at StemQuest this summer. Jamboree participants will have multiple opportunities to meet professionals and see what they do in their career. More importantly, participants can learn how they themselves could do it too.

Presenters will include a clinical pharmacist, a computer engineer, a rocket scientist, a roller coaster designer and others. Alan LLoyd, from StemQuest, comments, “and we’re still adding more presenters, so check the Jamboree mobile app for dates and times.” Search for “So You Want to Be” in the app to find all the sessions being offered.

One career presenter will be Gregory Johnson, executive director of the Center for the Advancement of Science in Space. He is also a former pilot and astronaut. He will discuss being an aerospace controller at the StemQuest site from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday. To get directions, search for “StemQuest” in the Jamboree mobile app.

Johnson also will speak at the National Eagle Scout Association headquarters in the Summit Center at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
