Douglas H. Dittrick

Douglas Dittrick exemplifies the Scout Oath and Scout Law, making it a part of his daily life. For Doug, this means volunteering his time, helping others, and leading by example in all walks of his life. He is especially devoted to supporting the Scouting movement, serving on the Boy Scouts of America’s National Executive Board, and as past president of the Northeast Region.

Doug doesn’t limit his support to the BSA. He is active in a variety of causes, notably serving on the Board of Governors of the American Red Cross for six years.

Doug’s numerous volunteer and charitable endeavors are made possible by his successful career in the telecommunications industry. He was the founder, president, and CEO of Douglas Communications Corporation II, which operated cable television  systems. In 2007, Doug received the distinct honor of induction into the Cable TV Hall of Fame.
