Wayne and Christine Perry

Wayne and Christine Perry are steadfast advocates of the Scouting movement because they have witnessed the program’s results within youth on every level from the Cub Scout pack through International Scouting. From shepherding all four of their sons through Cub Scouting to the Eagle rank to serving as president of Scouting America and chairman of the World Scout Foundation, Wayne and Chris have devoted incalculable time to furthering the Scouting movement as two of its most foremost champions and philanthropists. As chair couple of the Office of Philanthropy since 2010, Wayne and Chris have led the charge to obtain financial gifts to fund leadership and character development programming and venues at the Summit Bechtel Reserve.

Situated in the wilds of West Virginia, The Summit Bechtel Reserve is a training, Scouting, and adventure center for the millions of youth and adults involved in Scouting America and anyone who loves the outdoors. The Summit Bechtel Reserve is also home to the National Scout Jamboree and the Paul R. Christen National High Adventure Base.
