Members of the International Service Team (IST) who will staff the 24th World Scout Jamboree (WSJ) at the Summit Bechtel Reserve (SBR) in 2019 will come from more than 160 National Scouting Organizations. The geographic diversity of the IST means that there will be limited staff slots for members of the Boy Scouts of America.
Since the 2017 National Jamboree will function as a “dress rehearsal” for the 24th WSJ, successful participation as a staff member at the 2017 National Jamboree is a critical element for potential members of the IST preparing to host the 24th WSJ. The BSA needs to build a group of experienced IST members who know the Summit and are prepared to welcome the Scouts of the world to West Virginia for this truly special event. You can understand: having the experience of delivering the 2017 Jamboree will be a key factor as in selecting the 2019 IST members.
If you’re already on the 2017 NSJ staff: let your friends know, too! The BSA needs you and them to make 2017 the most successful jamboree ever, and to help prepare to host the world at the Summit in 2019. Register now to participate in the once-in-a-lifetime experience that will be the 24th WSJ.
It will be here before you can say “Live Scouting’s Adventure!”
