Challenge By Choice: The Ropes Construction Update

The Ropes challenge courses at the Summit are nearing completion and will be ready for the 2013 National Scout Jamboree.

These courses are all about helping Scouts and Venturers develop leadership and teamwork skills and learn more about themselves. At the 2013 jamboree you’ll have a chance to do just that at the Summit’s six courses, the most in any one spot in the world.

The two courses at Action Point and the four at Adventure Valley feature a network of swinging logs, rope bridges, cargo nets, and other challenges suspended 25 feet above the ground.

To develop leadership and trust, you’ll do some earthbound exercises in preparation for your time on the challenge course. Once you’re ready, you’ll be harnessed up and clipped in for this aerial obstacle course.

If you love getting a bird’s-eye view of the world or want to challenge yourself by pushing your comfort zone, check out The Ropes.

What is it that draws you to the, well, challenge, of the challenge course?
