Terrence P. Dunn

Terrence P. “Terry” Dunn has a lifelong association with Scouting, having been a both Cub Scout and a Boy Scout. Later, all three of his sons joined Scouting and two eventually reached the rank of Eagle. Although he was a Scout himself, it getting involved in the troop his three sons joined that really taught him how the Boy Scouts can change lives. “That’s when I really experienced the true meaning of the Boy Scouts and how it changes lives,” he says. That was also the beginning of his journey as a volunteer with the movement. Since then, he has served the Boy Scouts of America on the local, regional, and national level.

As a young man, Terry graduated from Rockhurst College and then earned his MBA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Upon graduation he joined the family business, J.E. Dunn Construction Co., one of the top general building contractors in the nation. During his career at J.E. Dunn he served in a number of positions, most notably as president and CEO.
