Norman R. Augustine Twelve Points Ceremonial Plaza rests on a promontory extending into Goodrich Lake. Featuring a central compass rose with the Summit Bechtel Reserve logo and the 12 points of the Scout Law, the plaza is the site of flag ceremonies, awards ceremonies, and other special presentations by Scouts and dignitaries. The bronze statue at the plaza, “Forever Eagle,” depicts Norm Augustine’s late son, Gregory Augustine, lifting his hand in the Scout sign while an eagle soars above.

Situated in the wilds of West Virginia, The Summit Bechtel Reserve is a training, Scouting, and adventure center for the millions of youth and adults involved in Scouting America and anyone who loves the outdoors. The Summit Bechtel Reserve is also home to the National Scout Jamboree and the Paul R. Christen National High Adventure Base.
