The 5.04-mile McAllister Family Sustainability Challenge Trail begins in Base Camp E and heads south, around the eastern border of Base Camp C along Goodrich Lake before ending in Scott Summit Center. Twelve pause points along the trail tell the story of sustainability and provide moments of instruction and reflection.

The Summit Bechtel Reserve is also home to the National Scout Jamboree and the Paul R. Christen National High Adventure Base.
