Alpha Phi Omega scholarship

Alpha Phi Omega awarded a scholarship to Emily Wunnenberg, a recent graduate of Millikin University, to serve as a staff member at the 2017 National Jamboree.

While at Millikin University, Wunnenberg majored in history with a minor in political science. She heard about the 2017 National Jamboree through a webinar hosted by Alpha Phi Omega, a national coeducational collegiate fraternity that is founded on the principles of leadership, principles and service. She submitted a resume and responded to a few short questions and was awarded the scholarship.

“It means a lot to me,” Wunnenberg said. Without the Alpha Phi Omega scholarship, she said, “I would not be here at the jamboree today.” She is serving on the Water Reality Area staff at the 2017 National Jamboree.

Alpha Phi Omega will hold a reunion and scholarship recognition at the Summit Center’s Legacy Village at tent LE03 at 5 p.m. on Tuesday. Only current members or alumni of the Alpha Phi Omega fraternity are invited to attend this event.
