Check Out The Montana Venturing Experience

What Is Patrol Z?On July 7-9, 2011, the Montana Council’s K-M Scout Ranch hosted a camp for Venturers and high adventure. The lone crew to attend this year, Venturing Crew 2861 enjoyed the ranch, even though they didn’t meet new Scouting friends.

“I liked being able to spend a lot of time at each activity without having to stand in line,” crew Advisor Patti said.

Among the activities the crew did were shooting sports, swimming, a COPE course, cruising on the zip line, making cobbler for an outside dinner and playing plenty of games with the staff. The crew favored shooting sports, which was a nice change of pace from their usual activities, which are on the water. In total, Crew 2861 has canoed 110 miles down the Missouri River twice, and went whitewater rafting last summer.

This experience is not something to miss out on, and K-M accepts Scouts from all over. Also, at the next Venture Experience, K-M’s new climbing tower will be open, giving you one more reason to go check it out!

So if your crew feels like hanging out at a great camp in Montana, check it out! You can also check out Venture Crew 2861 on Facebook to get some fun ideas for activities for your crew!
