SBR Short #2 – The “3 ALWAYS” of Shooting Sports

Shooting Range Safety!

Today we have Ryan King, SBR’s Shooting Sports Manager, educating us on the “3 ALWAYS” of any NRA shooting range

  1. ALWAYS Keep The Gun Pointed In A Safe Direction
  2. ALWAYS Keep Your Finger Off The Trigger Until Ready To Shoot
  3. ALWAYS Keep The Gun Unloaded Until Ready To Use

Ryan also recommends a 4th Rule of know your target and what lies beyond.

These three fundamental safety rules are crucial to safe operation of a firearm at any range. As a participant, you will find that every single one of our shooting programs starts with a briefing of these three critical rules and that our staff constantly monitor the range to make sure these rules are being followed. While we want everyone here to have fun we also understand that in order to continue having fun, time and time again, we need to make sure everyone is safe first.
