Tomorrow, Friday, July 21,  United States Secretary of State Rex Tillerson visit the 2017 National Jamboree. Secretary Tillerson will be honored at an event beginning at 2:30 p.m. EST. The event will occur between the Scott Visitor Center and the AT&T pavilion.

Secretary Tillerson’s visit will include a recognition of his exceptional contribution to both Scouting and to the Summit. All Jamboree participants, leaders and staff are encouraged to attend the event!

Secretary Tillerson has a longstanding involvement with the Boy Scouts of America, earning its highest rank of Eagle Scout in his youth and being awarded the Distinguished Eagle Scout as an adult. He is a former member of the Boy Scouts of America’s Executive Committee, 2010 SIlver Buffalo Recipient, and served as the National President of the Boy Scouts from 2010 to 2012.
