Shooting sports have always been integral to the plans for the Summit. Because the Summit is home to the Paul R. Christen National High Adventure Base, you can be sure it will include more than your run-of-the-mill shooting ranges.
To that end, the Summit features a world-class assortment of shooting sports ranging from those that propel projectiles via gunpowder and bow string to those that depend on human power to hit the targets.
There are the usual shooting sports:
- .22 Rifle
- Shotgun
- Archery
And then there’s the unusual:
- Airsoft
- Powder Ball
- Tomahawk Throwing
- Knife Throwing
- Blackpowder Rifle
- .308 Centerfire
- .223 Centerfire
- .22 Pistol
- 9 mm Pistol
I was fortunate enough to try all but a few of these, and let me just say they were fantastic.
Safety is also a priority at the Summit. Each shooting sport activity begins with a specialized safety briefing.
So whether you’re a newbie shooter or a pro, you’ll definitely find something that’s just right for you. And trust me, no matter what you pick, you won’t regret it.
