Top 3 Reasons To Attend The 2013 Jamboree

High adventure, your way and made simple. That is what you’ll get at the 2013 National Scout Jamboree at the Summit Bechtel Reserve.

Here is a better explanation, and 3 reasons why you should sign up for the jamboree:

  1. High adventure. With skateboarding, BMX, mountain biking, zip lining, rock climbing and rappelling, whitewater rafting, and much more, this isn’t your father’s jamboree. In 2013, when the Summit opens its doors for the first time, you will be in the No. 1 spot for high adventure.
  2. Your way. To make sure your jamboree experience at the Summit is one of a kind and exactly what you want, the new jamboree model allows you to decide which activities you want to do. In late 2012 or early 2013, activities registration will open so

you can plan ahead and decide what you want to do most. (This means you should probably go ahead and get your jamboree registration started now — the earlier, the better.)

  3. Made simple. In the past, packing for the jamboree may have been a task. Well, not anymore. We know that your summer is already packed full of fun, so to make sure packing and traveling to the Summit isn’t a problem, Scout kits including tents, cots, dining flies, cooking utensils, and gas stoves will be waiting for you when you arrive. Also, you will receive a duffel bag in advance. All you need is yourself, some personal items and a sleeping bag!
