John D. Tickle Base Camp is located within Scott Scouting Valley, bordered to the south by a ridge overlooking the entire property. The largest base camp at 92 acres, John D. Tickle Base Camp provides camping space for a maximum of 21,600 Scouts and their adult leaders and will support participants who are participating in activities at John D. Tickle National Training and Leadership Center, James C. Justice National Scout Camp, Paul R. Christen National High Adventure Base, and other venues of the Summit Bechtel Reserve.
