In earlier segments of this Venturing to the Summit series, we watched as members from Venturing Crews 32 and 44 from North Carolina worked and played in and around the New River Gorge.
When the national jamboree kicks off at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in July 2013, the Summit will become the second-largest city in the whole state of West Virginia.
Situated in the wilds of West Virginia, The Summit Bechtel Reserve is a training, Scouting, and adventure center for the millions of youth and adults involved in Scouting America and anyone who loves the outdoors. The Summit Bechtel Reserve is also home to the National Scout Jamboree and the Paul R. Christen National High Adventure Base.
